Taking the Fear Out of SUP
Learn to SUP starting from the basics.
It is time to learn to SUP! Have you always wanted to try but are a bit afraid? We completely understand. Yoga can be challenging on land so it might be hard to imagine practicing on a board while floating in water. But there is nothing like the experience of being on Canandaigua Lake with the waves lapping against the shore and seagulls crying above to bring you into a state of bliss. Don’t let fear stop you from experiencing this amazing summer activity. Join Hayley Parker and other FLY SUP teachers for a short on-land yoga practice working on balance and breath. Then paddle your boards into the shallow, clear and protected area of the lake to practice the same poses slowly and with breath on water. This class will focus on basic poses starting from sitting on the board to being on all fours, slowly working toward a few standing poses. You’ll be standing like a pro in no time!
Two classes: 8:15am-9:30am or 10am-11:15am
