FLY GIRLS. You know who you are… you are a daughter, mother, friend, wife, yogi, athlete, couch potato, professional, stay-at-home mom, outdoor lover, photo taker, love maker, belly laugher, chocolate sneaker and wine drinker. You are out to live life to the fullest and find a balance that tilts just a little bit toward those things that light you up and bring you joy.

FLY is the embodiment of a quest for adventure, the outdoors, community and a desire to ignite change in people’s lives—yours.

We can’t wait to see how high you’ll fly.

JENNIFER HESS, FLY CO-FOUNDER

WHY I’M FLY I love to empower people to live and dream BIG, jump into uncertainty, get messy and find their inner voice and truth.

MY FAVORITE THING TO DO ON CANANDAIGUA LAKE Yoga on the dock first thing in the morning with the water lapping and the birds chirping.

MOST INSPIRING QUOTE This is tough because I LOVE quotes. I’d call it a tie between "It's never too late to be what you might have been” (George Elliot) and “We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face... we must do that which we think we cannot.” (Eleanor Roosevelt)

MY HERO Can my hero be younger than me? Laura Dekker, the 15 year old Dutch girl who sailed around the world by herself—such courage to follow her dreams!

ONE THING THAT MIGHT SURPRISE YOU I have an MFA in Furniture Design and Woodworking.

HAYLEY PARKER,
FLY SUP Director, Yoga Teacher, Essential Oil Wellness Advocate, Adventure Enthusiast

Hayley is a RYT200. She has practiced with Master Yogis such as Baron Baptiste, Bryan Kest, and Dagmar Spremberg. Yoga became the first endeavor Hayley committed to in her life that truly sparked a fire within her. She has and will continue to pursue all subjects that support herself and others in the natural rhythm of life while passionately supporting her local community and striving for a more self-sufficient lifestyle.

Hayley currently teaches gentle, restorative, and vinyasa flow yoga for at The Honeoye Collective studio. She has worked closely with owner Joe Cassera to create a space that will focus on supporting and connecting its community. Hayley has previously taught yoga for Victor Yoga Studio, Rochester General Wellness Center, Breathe Yoga Greece, Grounded by yoga, and StudioMOVE!. She hosts many workshops working with essential oils or the elements of a yoga practice. Synchronicity in our daily lives, connecting with people, taking an active role in how our lives are shaped, and taking time to live in harmony with nature are values Hayley holds closely to her heart; whether it be the hours spent on her stand up paddle board, hiking in the heart of the Adirondacks, making conversations with like-minded strangers, swimming in the oceans, or absorbing the incredible talents local artists have to offer. She strives to share it all with the world.

WHY I’M FLY I grew up in the Finger Lakes where I still live today in very close harmony with nature and my community. Through my own personal transformation of acceptance, and recognition of the endless bounty of light that is always within us, I have found a strong desire to guide others to this same place. I wish to convey to others that beyond your yoga practice and the challenges that may come with it, it is about coming into a rhythm in your life wherever you are and always continuing to grow from that sacred place.

MY FAVORITE THING TO DO ON CANANDAIGUA LAKE When I escape away to have a moment all alone on my stand up paddle board. The lake is quiet and the world still sleeps as I fluidly move through a peaceful yoga sequence. I get to watch the morning transform as I stay steady and still from within. I have just as much joy ending the day with a playful SUP yoga practice on the lake the moment the water calms. My husband takes his boat out and fishes by my side. We watch as the sun goes down together.

MOST INSPIRING QUOTE “As you teach so you will learn. If that is true, and it is true indeed, do not forget that what you teach is teaching you.” (Course and Miracle – Angeles Arrien)

MY HERO My best friend, my mirror image, and the person who's been by my side since we were toddlers finger-painting. I have shared each and every one of her experiences, I have felt her pains, and inherited her strengths. Through her recurring battle with breast cancer, Mackenzie has shown me what it means to be fearless, to drop the excuses, and live in the moment. I am able to see the light underlying every situation and am motivated in helping others to see the glow in their own true nature, it has been there all along only waiting to be unveiled. I am endlessly grateful to have such a guiding force in my life that keeps my life lit up.
